The Institute invites the applications from meritorious and highly qualified Indian nationals (including the Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs)) from Engineering/Science and Technology background, for the following positions in the Departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Sciences and Management Studies. For SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwD GOI guidelines shall apply.

04 papers in SCI journals after Ph.D. One Ph.D. guided as sole or principal supervisor plus one continuing. Two projects ongoing or one ongoing plus one completed .Two experiments or computational projects added to teaching laboratories where appropriate. Academic outreach activity equivalent to two self financed short term courses should have been organized or conducted.

 

 

 

01 or more patents; Supervising two or more students for Ph.D.; Strong liason with industry; Offering courses through application of ICT

Note: For the department of Management Studies, the publications in ABDC listed journals shall be treated equivalent to SCI journals.

Selection Procedure

  1. After Screening, the shortlisted candidates shall be invited for presentation . To and fro fare upto AC 3 tier by the shortest route (only for travel within India) will be paid by the institute on production of tickets. Tatkal charges and local travel charges shall not be reimbursed. Accommodation will be Provided in institute’s vistors' hostel.

  2. Candidates recommended after presentation shall be invited for the interview before the Statutory Selection Committee. TA/Accommodation in visitor's hostel shall again be provided by the institute. (No candidate can directly appear before the statutory selection committees.)

  3. Based on the recommendations of the statutory selection committee and approval of the Board of Governors, appointment letters shall be issued.


Guidelines

  1. Incomplete/ partially filled application forms will not be considered.The decision of the Institute authorities in such cases will be final.

  2. Separate sheet, if required, may be attached along with application. .

  3. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised.

  4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

  5. Applications sent through email/FAX will not be considered.

  6. Candidates who had shortlisted for the interview and attended the same but not finally selected should not apply with in One year from the date of last Interview.

  7. Short listing criteria for calling for interview may be fixed higher than those in the advertisement.

  8. A candidate applying for a post can be called for interview for lower post also, if Committee recommends so. The candidate may also be considered for TRA(Teaching-cum-Research Assistant)/TRF (Teaching-cum-Research Fellow)Positions. TRF is a form of Post Doctoral Postions

  9. Mere eligibility will not be entitled any candidate for being called for any part of selection process.

  10. Applicants who are employed in Government or Semi-Government Organizations should apply through proper channel or produce a "No Obejection Certificate" from their employer at the time of seminar/interview.

  11. Candidates may apply in more than one department by repeating the online application process.


Reservation

Reservation at entry level is applicable as per Government of India rules. The candidate belonging to reserved categories(SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS) are required to attach the Caste/Income/ Category certificate in prescribed format of Government of India. The Institute follows the Central list in the case of SC/ST and OBC-NCLs. The institute also encourages applications from qualified women candidates.

  1. Contribution towards New Pension Scheme (NPS), HRA, LTC, medical re-imbursement, transportation allowance, education allowance for children etc. will be admissible as per the Institute Rules.

 

  1. A Cumulative Professional Development Allowance of Rs. 3 Lakhs for every block period of 3 years is available to every member of the faculty to meet the expenses for participating in both national and international conferences, paying the membership fees of various professional bodies, books and periodicals and contingent expenses, as well as for other professional development activities.

 

  1. Reimbursement of telephone bills up to a ceiling of Rs.750/-per month.

 

  1. Besides pay, the post carries allowances according to the Institute rules which at present correspond to those admissible to the Central Government employees stationed at Allahabad.

Suitable residential accommodation as per Institute rules may be provided on the Campus on joining the Institute depending upon availibility.
