IIIT Allahabad is an Institute of National Importance declared under the act by Parliament to provide for education and research in various branches of Engineering, Technology & Management studies. The Institute is in search of suitable Indian Nationals for appointment on the post mentioned in the advertisement.

Selection Procedure

  1. In accordance with the urgent requirements of the department and the credentials of the individuals the HOD(IT)/HOD(ECE) shall invite the shortlisted candidates for presentation before the internal committee. TA (up to 3-tier AC) will be paid by the institute and the accommodation will be arranged in institute’s guest house.

  2. Depending upon the recommendations of the internal committee adhoc appointment on fixed monthly honorarium (Rs 60000/- to 70000/-) along with on campus accommodation and other facilities as may be approved by the competent authority may be offered. Further, the candidates as recommended by the internal committee shall be invited for the interview before the statutory selection committee, on a different date. TA/local hospitality shall again be provided by the institute. (No candidate can directly appear before the statutory selection committee.)

  3. Based on the recommendations of the statutory selection committee and approval of Board of Governors the appointment letters shall be issued.


IIIT Allahabad follows the reservation policy of the Central Government. Prospective faculty from reserved categories is encouraged to apply. The Institute also encourages applications from qualified women and minority candidates.

Benefits provided

IIIT Allahabad makes every attempt to help faculty members settle in their academic role and to grow professionally. The Assistant Professors (on contract) get all the benefits as for regular faculty members. These include:

  1. Contribution towards New Pension Scheme (NPS), HRA, LTC, medical re-imbursement, transportation allowance, education allowance for children etc. will be admissible as per the Institute Rules.


  1. A Cumulative Professional Development Allowance of Rs. 3 Lakhs for every block period of 3 years is available to every member of the faculty to meet the expenses for participating in both national and international conferences, paying the membership fees of various professional bodies, books and periodicals and contingent expenses, as well as for other professional development activities.


  1. Reimbursement of telephone bills up to a ceiling of Rs.750/-per month.


  1. Besides pay, the post carries allowances according to the Institute rules which at present correspond to those admissible to the Central Government employees stationed at Allahabad.


Suitable residential accommodation as per Institute rules may be provided on the Campus on joining the Institute depending upon availibility.
